Performance

Ultimate version is the uncompromised edition for very high-end PCs. It consists of 59k (10 MB) objects with almost 10 MB total size. That’s a LOT. Seriously. Probably one of the biggest and most demanding builds available to the public. This version is mainly for those who need a large private space for various city RP scenarios or just want their own detailed piece of a city in 3DX.

If you want to use the full Extreme graphics preset and maintain 30+ FPS in the most GPU-demanding areas, you’ll need a high-end PC (I think the minimum requirement for that is an RTX 4080 or higher). The room should work on any modern good PC, but you must test which settings work best for your machine. I recommend using the high/extreme preset but with Medium “Detail Range” — this should work on most good PCs. The Ultimate version might also work for scenarios that don’t involve a large number of people.

Simplified version consists of 40k (7 MB) objects and is more crowd-friendly. It’s still a LOT but not as heavy as Ultimate. This version is more barebones and lacks many of the cool details. It should work for public use for most players with decent PCs and can also be used for personal modifications, making it much easier to work with.

Don’t do this

Entrance point: Please do not move the entrance point/spawn spot (green object) along the Z-axis. That means do not move it up or down. One of the design concepts was to create a certain look (wet rough surfaces, broken tiles, puddles, etc.) for asphalt and sidewalks. The wetness effect of the textures is based on the ocean level, which is also connected to the entrance point position.

If you move it up, streets will be flooded.

If you move it down, the wetness effect and some other elements, like puddles, will be lost.

You can move it along the X/Y axes normally.

Lighting and Skybox: The room was built for Night Mode only — 2nd from the bottom (half-moon with stars). Some areas might look cool in other modes, but all interiors and lighting (especially in the rough part of the city) were tweaked for night mode.

Moreover, building exteriors and placements (including street props) were designed with the specific skybox light source in mind, so shadows fall exactly as intended. I highly recommend using Night Mode and blocking other lighting mods if you’re hosting the room.

If you really want to use a bright mode, use the 2nd from the top daytime mode.
